Green tea!

Last week, i was watching a video on my subscription list on YouTube on some asian diet secrets..... One of the tip was to drink japanese green tea. So i decided to try it out because i've been hearing/seeing people say that green tea is super good for you! And i mean, no harm trying right?

Been drinking a cup of green tea every morning when i wake up, but i haven't seen results yet and i don't think i will see obvious results so yah.... hahahaha

But that's not my point. Point is, the other day i was in the cab, bored with nothing to do (scrolled through instagram + twitter already hahaha) so i decided to Google the benefits of green tea..... and i was quite amazed with the results!!!! Green tea has A LOT of benefits that i never knew about.

Green tea is not only tea to drink, it has become the raw material for extracts used in beverages, health foods, dietary supplements and even cosmetic products!! It has plenty of antioxidants which apparently is good for health.

1. Increases metabolism - The polyphenol found in green tea works to intensify levels of fat oxidation and the rate at which your body turns food into calories.

2. Helps you burn 70-80 more calories a day!!! (Who wouldn't want this right?!?!?!)

3. Anti-aging benefits - Help with wrinkles and the signs of ageing because of their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. Antioxidants also protect our skin from harmful ultraviolet rays.

4. Cancer fighting properties

5. Cholesterol - Green tea reduces bad cholesterol in the blood and improves the ratio of good cholesterol to bad cholesterol.

6. Keep your bones strong -  Because of the high fluoride content found in green tea.

7. Helps boosts your memory

8. Stress - L-the theanine, which is a kind of amino acids in green tea, can help relieve stress and anxiety.

9. Boosts your immunity Polyphenols and Flavonoids present in green tea boost the immune system to make the human body stronger in fighting various infections. Vitamin C present in green tea keeps cold and flu away.

Found all these online and the above mentioned are just a few of the more relatable ones!!! I don't know how true are the facts but then again no harm trying and making it a habit to drink green tea everyday. I'm sure most Japanese people drink green tea everyday, and they live like a super looooong life and are all super skinny/slim? You seldom see fat japanese girls out there......

I'm obviously drinking it for weight loss hahahaha.
Slow and steady wins the race yeah? (*^◇^)_旦

Mikuni.

Met my parents & sissy at Fairmont Hotel after Chinatown the other day. Went to have Mikuni!!!! Yummy teppanyaki. We've been patronising this restaurant ever since the Inagiku (what the restaurant was called last time) days. Used to celebrate my daddy's birthday there for years, till i don't know why we stopped. They serve the best butter prawns ever ever ever! & of course everything else is mega yummy too! Seeing the food photos again makes me want some butter prawns again omg........

Okay, i need to stop having so many food posts hahaha
Bye xx

Chinatown.

Super duper mega hot day but we still braved the sun and headed to Chinatown to find cloth for my 21st party, and also to have our mini 'photoshoot' (hahahaha). Can't help but have tons of photos when you put 2 girls that like to take photos together right?(‐^▽^‐)

We need to have more outdoor photo taking sessions pronto.
