Mookata.

We finally managed to try some Mookata (yes slow i know) !!!!! Plenty of times we planned to go try some but something always always stop us. So finally, on a sunday, we went to try Mookata Tradition Thai BBQ along East Coast Road. No pictures of my face because i was ugly in my spectacles and all hahahahaha

My verdict? IT IS DAMN YUMMY OMG THE SOUP IS LIKE UNEXPLAINABLE. (⊙_⊙') The four of us drank 2 kettles of soup hahahaha. But it was like super oily and sticky (obviously) and like i got a very very bad sorethroat now that i think is caused by eating the above and not drinking enough water.... so i suggest that if you're as weak as me, drink more water the next day if you don't want to fall sick! We're so going back for more soon and to try the tomyam base soup (~˘▾˘)~

Lynette's 21st surprise!

As said in the previous post, Xue Kai, together with a bunch of us planned a surprise party for poon's 21st!
OPERATION SUCESS !!!!!

And so the few of us close friends, including family gathered at Stella's at the Sea Sport Centre to give Lynette a surprise for her birthday! That girl still commented on my instagram photo that very day that i wasn't meeting her that day! Little did she know we'd be seeing her at night hehe. Simple dinner with a 'seaview' but it's the company that makes everything perfect! (ღ˘U˘ღ)

Another Sunday.

Took a chance with the weather on a Sunday and wore my white motorcycle jacket, which has been sitting in my cupboard for about 2 months now, out. Thankfully, the weather was good.

Cabbed down to Bugis, camwhored on the cab because i was bored (hahaha), decided to go to parkway for lunch/dinner instead because Bugis was super packed like sardines. Settled for Ichiban Boshi due to cravings!!!!! We've been thinking about the mushroom butter soup and my salmon belly mentai sushi the day before.... I can have anything mentai/salmon every single day and not get sick of it. Both together would be the best of the best. Oh, the above food pictures are just half of what we ordered. The rest ended up in our tummy's before a picture could be taken.... (っ∩_∩)っ

School's starting next week...... i hope i still have time to go out, eat, take photos for this space.

Green tea!

Last week, i was watching a video on my subscription list on YouTube on some asian diet secrets..... One of the tip was to drink japanese green tea. So i decided to try it out because i've been hearing/seeing people say that green tea is super good for you! And i mean, no harm trying right?

Been drinking a cup of green tea every morning when i wake up, but i haven't seen results yet and i don't think i will see obvious results so yah.... hahahaha

But that's not my point. Point is, the other day i was in the cab, bored with nothing to do (scrolled through instagram + twitter already hahaha) so i decided to Google the benefits of green tea..... and i was quite amazed with the results!!!! Green tea has A LOT of benefits that i never knew about.

Green tea is not only tea to drink, it has become the raw material for extracts used in beverages, health foods, dietary supplements and even cosmetic products!! It has plenty of antioxidants which apparently is good for health.

1. Increases metabolism - The polyphenol found in green tea works to intensify levels of fat oxidation and the rate at which your body turns food into calories.

2. Helps you burn 70-80 more calories a day!!! (Who wouldn't want this right?!?!?!)

3. Anti-aging benefits - Help with wrinkles and the signs of ageing because of their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. Antioxidants also protect our skin from harmful ultraviolet rays.

4. Cancer fighting properties

5. Cholesterol - Green tea reduces bad cholesterol in the blood and improves the ratio of good cholesterol to bad cholesterol.

6. Keep your bones strong -  Because of the high fluoride content found in green tea.

7. Helps boosts your memory

8. Stress - L-the theanine, which is a kind of amino acids in green tea, can help relieve stress and anxiety.

9. Boosts your immunity - Polyphenols and Flavonoids present in green tea boost the immune system to make the human body stronger in fighting various infections. Vitamin C present in green tea keeps cold and flu away.

Found all these online and the above mentioned are just a few of the more relatable ones!!! I don't know how true are the facts but then again no harm trying and making it a habit to drink green tea everyday. I'm sure most Japanese people drink green tea everyday, and they live like a super looooong life and are all super skinny/slim? You seldom see fat japanese girls out there......

I'm obviously drinking it for weight loss hahahaha.
Slow and steady wins the race yeah? (*^◇^)_旦
